watched Cowboy bebop: the movie earlier on tonight. i have been able to watch it already but the three haven't yet. of course it's anime. and it's a serious one at that, set in the future where planet mars already has inhabitants and bounty hunters abound because of the corruption in the system of governance (gee whiz, when you think about it, the future that is portryaed there is not really an idyllic place to live in even if it's oh-so-modern). great animation. good story. other fans have got to catch it. and of course, it's got chock-full of self-reflections about reality. at the end of the closing credits, there's a black screen with the words: Do you live in the real world?

yes, i'm back here in dagupan. i watched the terminal this afternoon with mom and dad on pirated vcd which didn't seem much so. it was actually directed by steven spielberg and it's really good. there were lots of funny scenes but it's not lost on those. (i don't think i'm writing coherently here) with tom hanks as the main character playing a man from some country named karkozhia whose government was recently overthrown by rebels, you see through the reality of his situation (that being he is not a citizen of any country since the US doesn't recognize the nation of karkozhia at the moment since they do not recognize its government) not only during the very funny scenes but as well as the very serious ones (duh!). hmm.. 'nuff said. i might just ruin the movie with this. anyway,
my mom said it's gonna be one of the movies that she would gladly watch all over again. and take this, she's not so much into watching movies she's watched already.

this morning we went to church. then we were off to citymall for a bit of grocery. milo was also holding a taekwondo tourney for its olympics. anyway, after that, we went to nazareth coz' karen's braces got to have their check up. then we went to nepo mall to have lunch at chowking. i had spare ribs and siomai. splendid enough. then we bought some plato wraps: a wrap 'n roll and ham and cheese for me. yeah.. well on the way to nazareth and while we were waiting for karen, we were telling jokes, with me being the source of most of the funniest (meaning bumebenta) and newest jokes. hehe..

then when we got home we watched the terminal. afterwards, kevin and i played one-on-one basketball, with me trying to duplicate the feat of beating him after my accomplishment yesterday. however, i was unsuccessful this afternoon even after almost four games. at least some of the scores were pretty tight. then we tried to play some volleyball with rj. kinda makes me want to go back to the good 'ol intramurals days back in high school. nakakamiss din.

here's another quiz about me - whether i'm gay or not:
yep! i'm just waiting for some 3 cds that i had asked to be burned here in UP. then imma go check if my final grade is already up for Chem 17. hopefully, it is already. yes, i'm going home for the sembreak. finally!
i'm back here in UP with not much to do. i only had one exam yesterday and since i went home for the weekend (finally! after three long months!), i wasn't able to review. i was planning to review for a bit when i got here at around 7am but then, the dozes decided to come through and i only woke up at 10:50 am. that exam was for 11:30. so well, whaddyaknow? didn't get to review much. and considering it's a math exam. hopefully i may pass the whole math course. i should. i can't risk repeating a subject anymore.

i wanna watch the house of flying daggers. i think it's showing tomorrow. hopefully it will open at a cinema in sm north. i also wanna watch shark tale. also fahrenheit 9/11.

i dunno if we still have a ga this afternoon at upss. i haven't completed my questions yet. and i have no article to give kuya erick. but then we have lots of stuff to do since the padunungan is just weeks away. oh yeah, our final rites as applicants is on the 23rd in hundred islands.
*
i wanna watch getbackers and ragnarok: the animation but if we have a GA, i can't. too bad i'm gonna miss it. it's the second episode today. tonight at 10:30 pm is also the second episode of Carnivale, a highly intriguing original HBO series.

i haven't been posting regularly. it really sucks coz there are plenty of things i wanna say. hmm.. let me just say something about the events of yesterday:
in the morning, i was listening to the live recordings of the eraserheads i got from jiggs from the circus yahoogroup. even if i've heard those songs plenty of times as the original studio versions, i couldn't help but feel goosebumps upon hearing them and hearing ely buendia thank the crowd and everybody else. i just miss them so much. they would still be great if they were still here today. look at the creative genius that these four guys had.
and then ate cash and ate mariz, our two barista boardmates have already left yesterday. they stayed there from summer till last month because they were reviewing for the bar exams. so yesterday was their last day. and ate cash's mom just died on tuesday morning, philippine time. she's residing in the states with one of her daughters. there's a lot of goodbyes happening nowadays.
and not only that, most of my classes ended yesterday, too. because my TF classes, i only have two and only one where we still meet, that is until today. it was our 5th exam in math 53. so yesterday was the last day i saw most of my classmates already.
i was still at home watching ate cash and ate mariz pack and listening to the eheads and i felt that that day would indeed be quite a sad one. ending of some good companies. well, it's almost the end of the sem. i'm looking forward to a new one and to meet another assortment of peoples and have new experiences.
*sigh*
gotta go.. just gotta let this out. ciao!

i found something else.. it's The Middle by Jimmy Eat World. pretty cool message and a great song:
Hey
Don't write yourself off yet
It's only in your head you feel left out or looked down on
Just try your best
Try everything you can
And don't you worry what they tell themselves when you're away
It just takes some time
Little girl you're in the middle of the ride
Everything, everything will be just fine
Everything, everything will be all right, all right
Hey
You know they're all the same
You know you're doing better on your own, so don't buy in
Live right now
Yeah, just be yourself
It doesn't matter if it's good enough for someone else
It just takes some time
Little girl you're in the middle of the ride
Everything, everything will be just fine
Everything, everything will be all right, all right
It just takes some time
Little girl you're in the middle of the ride
Everything, everything will be just fine
Everything, everything will be all right, all right
Hey
Don't write yourself off yet
It's only in your head you feel left out or looked down on
Just do your best
Do everything you can
And don't you worry what their bitter hearts are gonna say
It just takes some time
Little girl you're in the middle of the ride
Everything, everything will be just fine
Everything, everything will be all right, all right
It just takes some time
Little girl you're in the middle of the ride
Everything, everything will be just fine
Everything, everything will be all right, all right

butterfly carnival
(abaya, castillo)
so you say you hide it
pay the fine and
don’t regret your stars
but then you steal the pipe
and blow the kisses
oh you play your part
when you feel you find it
know you find it
(but) don’t forget your heart
because your soul is burning
time’s a-turning
no one stays the same
inside my mind you trace it
face to face and
run into your waves
regressing eyes are hollow
soul is shallow
oh you drain my heart
butterfly…carnival

OASIS - Wonderwall
Today is gonna be the day
That they’re gonna throw it back to you
By now you should’ve somehow
Realised what you gotta do
I don’t believe that anybody
Feels the way I do about you now
Backbeat the word was on the street
That the fire in your heart is out
I’m sure you’ve heard it all before
But you never really had a doubt
I don’t believe that anybody feels
The way I do about you now
And all the roads we have to walk are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I would
Like to say to you
But I don’t know how
Because maybe
You’re gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You’re my wonderwall
Today was gonna be the day
But they’ll never throw it back to you
By now you should’ve somehow
Realised what you’re not to do
I don’t believe that anybody
Feels the way I do
About you now
And all the roads that lead you there were winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
There are many things that I would like to say to you
I don’t know how
I said maybe
You’re gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You’re my wonderwallI said maybe
You’re gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You’re my wonderwall
Said maybe
You’re gonna be the one that saves me
You’re gonna be the one that saves me
You’re gonna be the one that saves me

OASIS - Stand By Me
Made a meal and threw it up on sunday
I’ve, got a lot of things to learn
Said I would and I believe in one day
Before my heart starts to burn
So what’s the matter with you
Sing me something new
Don’t you know the cold and wind and rain don’t know
They only seem to come and go, away
Times are hard when things have got no meaning
I’ve found a key upon the floor
Maybe you and I will not believe in
The thing we find behind the door
So what’s the matter with you
Sing me something new
Don’t you know the cold and wind and rain don’t know
They only seem to come and go away
Stand by me
Nobody knows the way it’s gonna be
Stand by me
Nobody knows the way it’s gonna be
Stand by me
Nobody knows the way it’s gonna be
Stand by me
Nobody knows
Yeah nobody knows
The way it’s gonna be
If your leaving will you take me with you
I’m tired of talking on my phone
There is one thing I can never give you
My heart will never be your home
So what’s the matter with you
Sing me something new
Don’t you know the cold and wind and rain don’t know
They only seem to come and go, away
Stand by me
Nobody knows the way it’s gonna be
Stand by me
Nobody knows the way it’s gonna be
Stand by me
Nobody knows the way it’s gonna be
Stand by me
Nobody knows, yeah nobody knows
The way it’s gonna be
The way it’s gonna be, yeah
Maybe I can see, yeah
But don’t you know the cold and wind and rain don’t knowT
hey only seem to come and go, away
Stand by me
Nobody knows the way it’s gonna be
Stand by me
Nobody knows the way it’s gonna be
Stand by me
Nobody knows the way it’s gonna be
Stand by me
Nobody knows
Yeah God only knows
The way it’s gonna be

SWITCHFOOT - Meant to Live
Fumbling his confidence
And wondering why the world has passed him by
Hoping that he's bent for more than arguments
And failed attempts to fly, fly
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside
Somewhere we live inside
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside
Dreaming about Providence
And whether mice or men have second tries
Maybe we've been livin with our eyes half open
Maybe we're bent and broken, broken
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside
Somewhere we live inside
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside
We want more than this world's got to offer
We want more than this world's got to offer
We want more than the wars of our fathers
And everything inside screams for second life, yeah
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
We were meant to live
We were meant to live

APO HIKING SOCIETY - Panalangin
Panalangin ko sa habang buhay
Makapiling ka, makasama ka
Yan ang panalangin ko,
At hindi papayag ang pusong ito
Mawala ka sa 'king piling
Mahal ko, iyong dinggin.
Chorus
Wala nang iba pang mas mahalaga
Sa tamis na dulot ng pag-ibig nating dal'wa
At sana naman makikinig ka
Kapag aking sasabihing minamahal kita.
Repeat the verse
Repeat Chorus except last word
...kita (Shoo-bi-doo-bi-doo-wah)

COLDPLAY - Warning Sign
A warning sign
I missed the good part then I realized
I started looking and the bubble burst
I started looking for excuses
Come on in I've gotta tell you what a state I'm in
I've gotta tell you in my loudest tones
I started looking for a warning sign
When the truth is, I miss you
Yeah the truth is, that I miss you, so
A warning sign
You came back to haunt me and I realized
That you were an island and I passed you by
And you were an island to discover
Come on in I've gotta tell you what a state I'm in
